What is Incubicity?

Incubicity is a unique and powerful platform that provides a support system and tools to assist entrepreneurs in turning good ideas into great businesses, fostering economic growth in North Central Indiana.  Anyone with an idea, small business, or interest in innovation is invited to participate.  Incubicity puts the power in the hands of the people... It's your turn!

Event and Programming Information

Through educational initiatives, networking opportunities, and a county/regional business plan competition, Incubicity will promote new businesses and economic growth in North-Central Indiana.

 The Competition

Incubicity will host county elevator pitch competitions whose winners will compete for a place at the final Summit where the grand prize ($25,000) will be awarded. For additional information on dates, times and locations, please visit our website www.incubicity.com.

Regional Elevator Pitch Competitions

  •  Februaury 8, 2008 -  Monticello for counties: Carroll, Cass and White
  •  February 12, 2008 - Wabash for counties:  Wabash, Fulton and Miami
  •  February 15, 2008 - Kokomo for counties:  Howard, Tipton, and Clinton 
  •  February 20, 2008 - Williamsport for counties:  Benton, Warren, Fountain, and Montgomery
  •  February 22, 2008 - Lafayette for Tippecanoe County

Final Summit & Awards

Eligible participants:

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and have an innovative idea with commercial potential. All ideas in varying industries such as: bio-tech, technology, manufacturing, logistics, defense, textiles, agribusinesses, etc. are welcome.  A business plan is not required.  Entrants or businesses must reside in Montgomery, Fulton, Benton, Tippecanoe, Cass, Carroll, Tipton, Wabash, Howard, White, Warren, Clinton, Miami, or Fountain counties.

Awards & Prize Money

From the regional elevator pitch competitions, three (3) finalists will be chosen from each county. (If there is not enough representation from a particular county, one contest may be held combining counties.) First place will receive $1000, second place $500 and third place $250.

Each of th 42 regional winners (if all counties are represented) will submit a two-page executive summary to a panel of judges where 10 finalists will be chosen and paired with an entrepreneurial mentor.

These 10 finalists will appear at the Summit on May 2, 2008,  where the grand prize winner will be awarded $25,000.  Second and third prize winners will receive $10,000 and $5,000 respectively.
