What is Incubicity?

Incubicity is an educational programming and business plan competition exclusively for those in north-central Indiana. Incubicity was created to spur economic growth in your area, to provide a support system and tools to assist entrepreneurs beginning in the early stages of developing an idea through to commercialization.

Who is Eligible to participant?

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and have an innovative idea with commercial potential. All ideas in varying industries such as: bio-tech, technology, manufacturing, logistics, defense, textiles, agribusinesses, etc. are welcome.  A business plan is not required.  Entrants or businesses must reside in Montgomery, Fulton, Benton, Tippecanoe, Cass, Carroll, Tipton, Wabash, Howard, White, Warren, Clinton, Miami, or Fountain counties.

What kind of businesses can enter?  

Any type of business idea is welcome to enter.

I already own/operate an existing business... can I enter?

Existing business owners are more than welcome to enter the contest, however idea entries are expected to be new and not already implemented within your business.

Let's get down to the important stuff... what are the prizes?

At the regional competition (the finals), first place will win $25,000, second place will win $10,000, and third place will win $5,000.   In the county-wide competition, first place will win $1,000, second place will win $500, and third place will win $250.   Each of the 42 regional winners will submit a two-page executive summary to a panel of judges where 10 finalists will be chosen and paired with an entrepreneurial mentor.  These 10 finalist will compete in the final Summit for the $25,000 Grand Prize.

I am from outside the 14 county area, can I enter the contest?

The contest is limited to those who reside and/or companies whose address is within the 14 North-Central Indiana Counties

What are the 14 counties that are part of the contest?

The counties included are: Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Fulton, Howard, Miami, Montgomery, Tippecanoe, Tipton, Wabash, Warren, and White.
