Indiana Wired

Indiana WIRED is an acronym meaning Workforce Innovations in Regional Economic Development within the state of Indiana. “Workforce Innovations” refer to the growing and developing technology that is currently being employed throughout local and regional businesses in Indiana. This technology can help current businesses flourish and convince new businesses to plant their roots here and stay a while.
The “Region” WIRED represents is a fourteen county region northwest of Indianapolis. This area includes many rural but growing areas within the state. The counties include: Montgomery, Fulton, Benton, Tippecanoe, Cass, Carroll, Tipton, Wabash, Howard, White, Warren, Clinton, Miami, and Fountain.
The goal of Indiana WIRED is to encourage “Economic Development” by encouraging competition and business growth within the fourteen county region using Indiana’s already well-developed local resources. Not only does this region already excel in the areas of Advanced Manufacturing, Advanced Materials, and Agribusiness Food Processing & Technology, but this region is also home to several esteemed universities and community colleges, including but not limited to Indiana University Kokomo, Purdue University, and Ivy Tech Community Colleges.

Indiana Venture Center
The Indiana Venture Center, Inc. is a privately funded not-for-profit organization that works independently, as well as in collaboration with universities and other organizations, to increase the number and quality of successful entrepreneurial, high growth companies in Indiana. The Center thereby catalyzes the establishment of a more creative, innovative and entrepreneurial educational and business climate in Indiana.
The Indiana Venture Center has assembled a team of outstanding, knowledgeable people in a variety of fields that, together, create an environment that fosters the entrepreneurial spirit and encourages both personal and professional growth for those entrepreneurs seeking business advice in such areas as strategic planning, technical development, marketing, finance and human resources.
